News | The Northern Link UG | There is an overwhelming turn up of youths who are applied for the Local Defense Unit-LDU recruitment exercise in Nebbi district, the Resident District Commissioner Abak Robert reveals on Monday in his office.
Abak says the youths have turned up on a good number more than they expected.
He indicates that over 280 youths have already applied to be recruited. Abak adds that they will be short-listed and enticed for the interviews.

The activity commenced last week and interested individuals were compelled to submit handwritten applications to the office of the Resident District Commissioner (RDC).
Each applicant is expected to reflect their age, nationality, marital status and attach copies of their national identification card, academic credential, and a letter from the LC 1 chairpersons or GISO.
The UPDF specifically wants Ugandan citizens who are physically fit, have no criminal record, are aged 18 to 29 years, and hold an Uganda Certificate of Education, UACE, or artisan certificate.
The UPDF’s plan is to enroll an additional 10,000 LDU personnel between August 23 to September 16.
