In order to understand why Alliance For National Transformation one of the political parties in Uganda failed to secure a presidential position and anybody for the position of the area member of parliament only securing few leaders at the lower local government positions, the party leadership has met the delegates who hailed from the district of Pakwach, Nebbi, Zombo, Arua District, Arua City, Madi Okollo and Terego understanding what exactly happened during campaigns and elections of 2021.

While addressing the delegates at christ the King Catholic parish Hall in Arua City, the former presidential candidate said much has he never made it for the position of presidency, as a party they were to take the gospel of the party to all parts of the country and the purpose of the meeting is to analyze the party together with its members basing of SWOT analysis.

We started moving from Kampala and we are reaching all the 12 subregions in this country to understand what we were able to do in the past campaigns and elections and what we can be able to do in the 2026 elections.

Mugisha Muntu also appreciated very much the people of WestNile for being resilient at the party and in a specialist way appreciate very much the people of Terego district choosing the new LC 5 chairperson on the party ticket.

Muntu said the main objective of the party is not to take power but to transform the country and that if the country is fully transformed it will be easy for the party to take power.

The coordinator eastern region who presented a paper on behalf of the acting national coordinator Basakana Hannington said the party was able to create anxiety among the people and opportunity to mobilize.

However Hannington said the party has come to West Nile to engage with the people who showed interest on ANT ticket to create an opportunity for the party candidates to interact with the party leadership, receive the subregional elections report and examine the challenges faced, analyze the national context under which the general elections of 2021 were conducted, equip the party members with the necessary skills and attributes required to offer values-based leadership in the local council, discuss ways and means of branding and marketing the party and lastly to predicting and drawing a strategic plan.
