Express scored two late goals inside the final 10 minutes of the game to triumph 2-0 against visiting Onduparaka 2-0 at the Betway Mutesa Wankulukuku Stadium on Wednesday, 28th April 2021.
Forward Eric Kenzo Kambale scored a brace with the first of his two goals coming on 80 minutes and the winner on the stroke of full-time
After missing a couple of goal-scoring opportunities including one where substitute Frank Kalanda had a shot raze onto the crossbar, the game came to life with Kambale’s left-footed long-range shot past the impressive goalkeeper Michael Kagiri.
Moments after the goal, Kagiri limped out for former Express shot-stopper Tonny Kyamera.
Kambale’s diving header won the day to give maximum points for the Red Eagles
Onduparaka’s best chance fell to Noel Nasasira whose dipping shot was parried away for a fruitless corner-kick.
Express attained their 11th win of the season which takes them to 41 points, 6 and 5 points adrift of the leaders URA and second-placed Vipers respectively.
Onduparaka suffered their 9th loss in the campaign which leaves them with 24 points from 21 matches played.
