Gossip | The Northern Link UG | The management of Arua city-based radio station Access FM has denied reports that the station has been purchased and would be transferred.
In recent weeks, social media has been flooded with reports that Hon. Evelyn Anite, the Minister of Finance in charge of investment and privatization, has purchased the radio station and plans to relocate it to Odia Trading Centre on the site of her hotel, ‘Hotel Le Confidentiel.’
This arose when the honorable minister was observed entering the station’s premises on the 13th of February for an unknown cause, prompting the rumor given her recent financial woes.
However, on Monday 28th February 2022, the administration of Access FM rejected the allegation on their Facebook page, noting that the station was not sold to anybody and that they did not change management or location.
