News | The Northern Link UG | The Gulu High Court judge, justice Tadeo Asimwe will on September 17, 2021, deliver his judgment over an election petition against Lamwo Woman Member of Parliament-Acora Nancy.
Molly Lanyero, the former Woman MP Lamwo district who lost the election to Acora in the January general elections petitioned the high court challenging Acora’s election.
Lanyero cited election regularizes such as bribery, violence, alteration of results, interference of the election by Acora’s team.
The respondent’s lawyer, Justus Karuhanga cross-examined 15 witnesses including the Minister for Disaster Preparedness, Hilary Onek, and the Resident District Commissioner of Lamwo, Kidega Nabinson Nok.
Meanwhile, the petitioner’s legal team led by Boris Anyuru from Odongo and Co. Advocates, cross-examined 7 witnesses including Molly Lanyero.
Justice Asimwe asked both teams to ensure that their submissions are filed next week ahead of the judgment.
