General News | The Northern Link UG. After the tragic incidence where a s4 student lost his life after sustaining injuries from a friendly game in Koboko, the school administration involved police in carrying out investigations which led to the detention of some students. This however did not sit well with the general students body who claim they already told the administration their side of the story so involving the police was unnecessary.
Sources from within the college this morning confirm that last night was marred with unrest as students rioted wildly in protest, destroying school property worth thousands of shillings in the process.
However, other sources among the students claim that the community of the deceased student from Yumbe ganged up and came to avenge the death of their son so the students were simply defending themselves.
This has prompted the administration to indefinitely close the school pending investigation and closure on the case of death of the student. Students could be seen moving their luggage out of the premises and heading home as uncertainty looms over the great college.
At this point, we can only confirm to you that the school has been temporarily closed by the administration for yet an undisclosed period of time but we promise to update you on the outcome and communication from the responsible authorities.
